How long will it take ?

The application to the court for a decree is called a Petition and from the point the application is made the divorce can normally be completed in 4 - 5 months, if the divorce in undefended.
However, not all petitions can be issued immediately. Divorce based on separation, for example, can only be issued after 2 years and, in some cases, after 5 years.
