During 2014, 131,000 acres of land were put on the market for sale. This is the smallest amount of land for sale since records began. Demand therefore far outstrips supply and prices have been, in most sectors, very strong. The UK economy, as a whole, has been performing well and in marked contrast to the Single Currency areas. From a farming perspective, crops planted in Autumn 2013 and Spring 2014 have done well with decent yields. With all this happening, and to ensure a profitable future, it is vital that farmers plan for their future and Pearsons & Ward are here to help and advise you.
